Excellent opportunity for a mid-level developer DBA to join an established and growing company in Tampa. Performs the activities associated with design, development, and support of existing and new database facilities.
This will include DBMS software, DBMS support tools, and logical & physical database design in support of multiple projects and/or multiple DBMSs.
Preserves the integrity of the corporate data architecture, supports related interfaces and data standards in order to enable company-wide data reusability. Local candidates will only be considered for this position.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and at least 5 years of applicable DBMS experience.
- Working experience with SQL Server 2005/2008R2, T-SQL, and SSIS
- Working experience with DB2 on AIX/Unix
- Thorough understanding of Windows and AIX/Unix scripting to support database processes
- Knowledge of logical & physical data design techniques, including OLTP and Data Warehouse environments (relational and multidimensional)
- Knowledge and experience implementing and troubleshooting client server, multi-tier database connectivity (ODBC, JDBC, OLEDB, etc.)
- Ability to self manage development and support responsibilities in an aggressive, multi-tasking environment
- Strong communications skills and the ability to self manage
- Strong PC experience including Windows, Excel, Access and MS Word
- The ability to share learned knowledge to increase support level of database systems
- Willingness to learn through on the job experience and support new technology
- Optional experience with DB2 on IBM i (AS/400) and/or Oracle
- Optional experience with Essbase MOLAP
- Experienced with complete application development life cycle
